Red white March bracelet, Greek folk bracelet

Red white, March bracelet is a woven cords, Greek folk bracelet.It's a fabric bracelet, that I made with red and white, cotton cords.The red cord is four-ply and the white cord is woven over it in a lovely, chain design for this traditional, Martis bracelet.

In Greece, we traditionally wear these in the first days of March, so that the first rays of spring sun won't tarnish our skins.This is based in folk beliefs and sayings and had some sense, when women did not want to get brown in the face.Also most of them worked out in the open all day long.

This is a cord, March bracelet with a gold coin and a red bow charm, hanging from the clasp, a charming, red, boho cuff.The coin is a copy of a Greek, traditional, gold coin, used in costumes and our ethnic jewellery.There is also a very cute, red satin bow charm, also hanging with the gold plated coin.

This braided cords, Martis boho cuff measures about 17cm in length ( 6.69'').It is very light and easy to wear all day.
