Κομπολόι με χάντρεAmethyst silver worry beads is a set or prayer, worry beads or mala, as Middle Easterners call it.
It is made by my husband, who makes all our worry beads sets, with meticoulous care and attention to detail.
This set comprises amethyst gem stones of a cabochon cut, barrel shaped, black, sturdy thread and sterling silver.
The silver is oxidised and comes in traditionally designed patterns. Greeks are very particular about their worry beads or komboloi, as it's called in Greece.
This originates from the prayer beads or rosaries and also from the Middle Eastern tradition of men playing with equal sets of beads.
The amethyst , prayer -worry beads set , or mala measures 28 cm ( 11.02 '' ) in length.
It's got a lovely weight, not too heavy, not too light. This would be great if you do meditation or would simply like to keep your hands busy and take your mind off things.
