A slightly abstract, very elegant sculpture of a dove made from a mould.It was made of sroneware clay in a natural, beige colour and a grainy, matte surface.The bird figure is unglazed but coloured in a soft, light beige colour.
On its beak it is carrying a minimalist, brass olive bough with ceramic, white/beige olives.
The brass bough carroes two leaves and two olives.The brass is oxidised with copper to produce the green patina of old.This is a minimalist version of a bird with a head smaller than the body than what it would look like on an actual dove.It is a simple, elegant sculpture by George Sep.Very evocative and beautiful.This beautiful bird, cerami cfigure measures about 12cm in length x 9cm in height x 7cm in width.
