Sitting figure sculpture, minimal aluminum sculpture, Greek Museum copy Cycladic figure.

Sitting figure sculpture is a minimal aluminum sculpture, a Greek Museum copy Cycladic figure.
This is a lovely sculpture of a sitting figure, made of an aluminum based mix, called zamma.
It comes in a gleaming, silver colour.

The original is made of white marble, now very yellowed with time and it sits in the Archeological
Museum in Athens, along with many other sculpted figures from the same era of about 2300 BC and the same area of the Cycladic islands.

This sculpture is a silver coloured modern metal figure, with the most minimal design. It is now almost impossible to believe, that it originates from an ancient sculpture idol of almost 5000 years ago, found in the Greek islands.

It features a figure, probably a man, sitting probably on the ground with his knees bent and his arms around his knees.
He has a lovely, long neck and an oval head, cut off ant the forehead with his nose only showing from his face features.
The tip of his knees just juts off the leveled area of his knee embrace, with a near perfect square forming around his shoulders and arms, enclosing his knees.

His whole form is like a cubist, modern sculpture with rounded edges.
The silver metal helps accentuate the gorgeous contours of this very sophisticated, ancient figure.

It measures 9.50 x 5 x 5.50 ( 3.74 '' x 1.96 '' x 2.16 '' ).It is not too heavy.It would make a perfect paperweight.
